Mirvaso gel

Mirvaso is a gel that has been specially developed to treat reddened skin as a result of rosacea (‘copper rose’). The active Mirvaso gel ingredient is brimonidine. This is a drug from the group of alpha-blockers. The drug has a vasoconstrictive effect, among other things. Mirvaso Gel is prescribed for rosacea (‘copper rose’). With this skin disease, the veins in the face become enlarged, leading to red spots on the cheeks, chin, nose, and/or forehead. Mirvaso Gel ensures that the blood vessels in the skin constrict and the redness of the face is reduced. Mirvaso is a gel that should be applied in a thin layer on the skin and face. The pea-sized amount is enough to treat facial skin. Always apply brimonidine gel to cleanse the skin. After application, allow the skin to dry well before you can use other care and makeup products. Do not use this medicine on other parts of the body and avoid contact with the lips, eyelids, and mucous membranes. (Eyes, mouth, nasal cavity). Always wash your hands well after applying the gel.

What is Mirvaso gel?

Mirvaso contains the active substance brimonidine, which belongs to a group of medicines commonly called “alpha agonists”. It is applied to the skin of the face to treat the redness caused by rosacea in adult patients. The redness of the face from rosacea is caused by high levels of blood flow in the skin of the face, which is the result of an increase in size (dilation) of the small blood vessels in the skin. When applied, Mirvaso works by narrowing these blood vessels, reducing excess blood flow and redness.

How does it work?

Rosacea is a skin condition that mainly affects the face. Symptoms include episodes of redness that have been linked to a widening of the small blood vessels on the skin of the face, which increases blood flow in the area. The active Mirvaso gel ingredient is brimonidine tartrate, which works by binding to receptors called alpha2-adrenergic receptors found in blood vessel cells of the skin and activates them. As a consequence of the activation of these receptors, the blood vessels become narrow, reducing blood flow to the face and decreasing redness.  .  .  .  .   .  .  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  . . . . . . . ............. ........................
